Professional
My name is Kristal Pemelton. I am a graphic designer and now expanding my skills to other realms of media, web design, and development.
I am a Graphic Designer at Pinnacle, a Marketing Communications Firm in Alameda, California. My responsibilities include collateral creation for multiple companies in varying industries, the building and maintaining of e-commerce sites and the variable data templates that are hosted on them, as well as developing customer websites.
For the previous two years I worked in the Marketing Department of MBH Architects in Alameda, California as their sole Graphic Designer. My many responsibilities included developing advertisements, postcards and other mailers, internal newsletters, presentations, proposals, portfolio materials, the up keep of the company website, and other miscellaneous projects. Much of my professional experience came from this position and many of my portfolio examples represents MBH.
On a daily basis I used numerous creative programs including Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, Distiller and Acrobat, Macromedia Dreamweaver and Flash, and Microsoft PowerPoint. My work also required me to know how to use many different peripherals including digital cameras, scanners, desktop and large format printers, and pen tablets.
Education
I have an Associate of Arts Degree in Digital Visual Media from Ex'pression College of Digital Media in Emeryville, California where I was award the Marshal McLuhan scholarship. Before college I attended New Technology High School in Napa, California, where my passion for digital media began.
I am currently taking the remainder of my general education courses at Alameda Community college to fulfill the requirements for my Bachelors Degree.
